The team did a great job knocking down our house. Thorough, polite, and they handled our narrow street with ease. 10/10 would demolish again.

Very helpful after delays with our planning approvals. Quick to respond, and the site was left in a very satisfactory condition at a reasonable price.

Questions

Demolition FAQs

Can't see your question? Call us on 03 9300 1212.

How long does a demolition take?

Approvals can take up to 4 weeks, or 6 weeks if protection works are required. If other requirements are involved, such as laneway or footpath closures, allow 8 to 10 weeks. The demolition itself usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the size of your project.

Do I need approval to demolish my house?

In most cases, yes. Demolishing all or part of a building in Victoria needs sign-off from a registered building surveyor. We lodge the paperwork for you as part of the job.

What about asbestos?

Visual asbestos is identified during the quoting process. Before demolition works commence, the asbestos is safely removed by a specialised asbestos removalist. If the home is occupied, internal asbestos can't be checked without opening walls, so we include a provisional allowance.

What are protection works?

A signed agreement with your neighbour when demolition could affect their boundary. We'll tell you upfront if your job needs it.

How much does a demolition cost?

It depends on size, materials, access and asbestos, which is why we quote every site individually and for free. Send your details and we'll come back with an itemised price.
